Home Flash point

The flash point (according to DIN-ISO 2592) is the lowest temperature at 1013hPa, with which vapour develops from a liquid in such quantities, so that it forms a mixture with the air above it which is inflammable by spark ignition. The flash point may not be mistaken with the ignition temperature, with which the inflammation without spark ignition (self inflammation) occurs.
