Oben Description

Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade B is a special coating on the basis of boron nitride for the coating of sinter graphites. This coating shows is easily applied and shows a good adhesion even on could sinter  moulds. It is used for the production of hard metals and diamond tools. Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade B forms diffusion barriers and suppresses effectively the formation of carbides. As a quick drying version the product Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade E is available.

ObenApplication

Resuspend or shake Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade B prior to use. Dilute with distilled water if necessary.
Application on clean surfaces is possible by painting or spraying. Additional layers may be applied after drying. Small components can be also dipped. Porous grphites should be damped before applying this coating.
A thin coating application (50-150µm) is favourable. Thick layers may crack during use and chip off.

ObenStorage-Container Size

Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade B must be protected against frost. A storage temperature of >5°C (>41°F) is recommended. The containers should be kept closed. Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade B is available in 1kg-containers.

ObenSafety Advices

According to data available to us Boron-Nitride-Coating Grade B is a non-hazardous preparation. An EC material safety data sheet is available.
