Nozzle for flat glass for the coating of ceramics and metals
good chemical stability
high hardness and small porosity
good adhesion on substrates
for the high temperature application to 1100°C

Oben Description

Ceramic-Coating HE is a special coating on the basis of aluminium silicate. It shows a high hardness and is extremly resistant to abrasion. Due to the low porosity its permeability of gas is very small. Ceramic-Coating HE is prefereably used as protection and interface for metals and ceramics. Metals are for example protected with this product in order to prevent chemical attacks and other modifications at high temperatures. So the decarburisation of steel or the oxidation of nitrides are prevented. The substrates to be coated should indicate thermal coefficients of expansion of >8.5·10-6/K. For substrates with substantially smaller thermal coefficients of expansion the product Ceramic-Coating LE on the basis of stabilized zirconium oxide is available.

ObenApplication

Resuspend Ceramic-Coating HE prior to use. Dilute with distilled water if necessary.
Application on clean surfaces is possible by brushing, dipping or spraying.
Dry thoroughly. Do not contact wet coatings with metal melts. Additional layers may be applied after drying.
Curing of the coating should take place with 350 to 400°C.
A thin coating application (50-100µm) is favourable. Thick layers may crack during use and tend to chip off.
Tools can be cleaned with water.

ObenStorage-Container Size

Containers should be kept closed and product protected against frost. A storage temperature of >5°C (>41°F) is recommended. Ceramic-Coating HE is available in 1kg-containers.

ObenSafety Advices

Ceramic-Coating HE contains water, is solvent-free and according to data available to us a non-hazardous preparation. This product is alkaline and therefore labelled irritant. The use of eye and hand protection is recommended. An EC material safety data sheet is available.
